Dr Kai F. Hoettges

Dr Hoettges joined the Surrey group in 2003 after completing his PhD in Microfluidic devices. He is also co-founder and  CTO of a spin-off company (DEPtech Ltd.), producing cell characterisation technology which he co-developed at the University of Surrey.  His research focuses on to dielectrophoresis and AC-electroosmosis for particle characterisation and separation. Ha has also a strong interest in development of laboratory instruments and lab automation.

 

Following a 12 year as a Research Fellow in the DEP group at Surrey, Kai was appointed as Lecturer at the University of Liverpool in 2014. He remains a Visiting Fellow at the University of Surrey.
